Nick and Maxine’s story began with a chance meeting at a bar in San Francisco, where Maxine’s brother-in-law, Chris, invited her to a friend’s birthday party. Nick immediately caught her eye—maybe it was his infectious dance moves or those dad jokes, but something about him felt like home. After that night, their lives took separate paths, but a year later, they reconnected when Maxine moved to the city, and their friend groups kept crossing paths. Nick asked her out a few times, only to joke later that Maxine was “big-leaguing him” by dodging his invites. (Maxine swears she just wasn’t ready yet.) It wasn’t until the pandemic, when they both found themselves back in Pleasanton, that Nick, with some help from his "wing woman" Wendy (aka Maxine’s mom), finally got his “yes.” They’ve been inseparable ever since, and now they can’t wait to keep dancing and laughing through life together.
